September 19; Ceremony in the Holy Church of Saint Cross

Saint Cross Armenian Church on Akhtamar Island will be opened for a worship service on September 19 for the first time since 1915 and thousands of Armenians are expected to arrive in Van for occasion.It is more than a month that local (Armenian) and foreign mass media has been discussing the advantages or disadvantages for the Armenians to attend the ceremony, and whether it’s a political show or political tolerance by Turkey?

Religions are Roman Catholic 41.9%, Protestant 42%, Muslim 12.1%, other 3.1%, none 0.9% according to 2002 census. Total population of Uganda is 33,398,682. Population growth rate in 2010 is 3.563%.

“Gender mainstreaming is the process of assessing the implications for women and men of any planned action, including legislation, policies and programmes, in all areas and at all levels, and as a strategy for making women’s as well as men’s concerns and experiences an integral dimension of the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programmes in all political, economic and social spheres so that women and men benefit equally and inequality is not perpetuated. The ultimate goal is to achieve gender equality.” (ECOSOC 1997/2)
Ismail CEM's "Turkey in The New Century"

Ismail Cem (1940-2007) was a famous Turkish social democrat politician, journalist and writer who also served as the Foreign Minister of Turkey between the years 1997 and 2002. His book “Turkey in the New Century” is a collection of Cem’s speeches, interviews, comments and memoirs about his tenure in office as the Foreign Minister. The book has certain aspects of an autobiography but also carries the qualities of an academic international relations book since Cem from the first-hand knows important details about Turkey’s foreign policy. The book is published from Rustem Publishing Company in 2000 but Cem revised the book every year and added new chapters.
